Serco are the leading providers of public services covering healthcare, defence, justice, transport, immigration and citizense services across the globe. In 2018, the company decided to relocate one of their offices from Bournville to Solihull.

 

GPDE had previously designed their Victoria office in Central London so had a head start in understanding the Clients brief and adhering to company brand guidelines. The new office space was to allow for agile working and staff interaction whilst maintaining structured department areas. Open plan working areas, meeting rooms and multiple breakout spaces allow for a balance between privacy and communication. The overall aesthetic is, simple yet efficient. Being flooded with natural light, which is assisted by carefully selected luminaires, it creates a bright and airy working environment for staff.

 

Despite requirements often changing throughout the project, Serco were extremely pleased with the finished space and the office is now one of their most successful environments.
