Heineken UK

Project Manager: Faithful and Gould
Architect: C2:Architects
Project Duration: 16 weeks

Heineken is the UK’s leading cider and beer producer with an aim of becoming the greenest brewer in the industry. They are doing everything they can to reduce water consumption in order to protect this vital resource and have installed solar panels on to the roof of their John Smith’s brewery in North Yorkshire. They believe that sourcing power we from renewable energy helps them to reduce the environmental impact of their business and forms a key part of their sustainability program, Brewing a Better World.

GPDE was appointed to design full electrical, mechanical and public health for a Cat A office, originally used as an ad-hoc meeting and presentation area. The design and fit out for a cellular and open plan office has enabled Heineken to fit the area to the same standard as their existing space on the same floor. This includes a series of meeting rooms, intimate meeting area’s and an open plan presentation area. A sliding door was installed to allow the space to be fully flexible to meet their needs.

Green Planet Design Engineers ensured this project was completed within the allocated timescale and budget and maintained excellent communication throughout.
