Arcademy dealt with the building fabric and Green Planet was commissioned to complete a full Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design for a fire damaged pub conversion. GPDE were involved from RIBA Stage D right through to project commissioning and completion and supported their client with all inquiries throughout the whole project.

 

The first floor was demolished and six new apartments were created on floors one to three while the ground floor was converted and left empty for future retail space and included a basement area. Materials were carefully selected to ensure their client has a cost effective, practical, functional and usable building that they will enjoy for years to come whilst having the peace of mind that comes with knowing they have a created a place with a low impact on the environment over the full life cycle of their building.

 

As with all projects there were concerns; in this case with regards to existing services, water, power and gas and the time it would take to get them installed to meters. GPDE acknowledged and understood the importance of this and as such promptly organised all three utilities and dealt with the relevant forms.

 

Green Planet’s extensive knowledge ensured clear channels of communication remained open throughout the entire project, with all interested parties. Their years of experience lead to the delivery of a successful project within budget and the allocated timescale.
