GPDE carried out a full design for the grade II listed building which dates as far back as c. 1706. The building itself has a rich history forming part of St Thomas hospital and home to the hospital’s treasurer as well as being purchased by the Bishop of Southwark and transformed into a Collegiate house for the clergymen. Situated adjacent to the bustling Borough Market and just 150m from the Shard the building can be somewhat overlooked. However, the interior maintains some of its original features including two cloister pillars. The Engineers at Green Planet took to the task of designing an interior that both suited the properties historic background whilst serving its modern occupants.
